China has extended anti-dumping tariff on Indian optical fibre.

Chinese Ministry of Commerce has said it will renew the anti-dumping tariffs on optical fibre product made in India.

China had imposed anti-dumping duties on imported single-mode optical fibres from India in the year 2014. It has now decided to extend the tariff from 14 August 2020 to protect the interests of Chinese manufacturers. The note published by the ministry said that the punitive tariff on the fibre will last for five years ranging between 7.4 percent and 30.6 percent depending on Indian manufacturers.
