COVID-toes is a real symptom of COVID-19.

The discolouration of fingers or toes has been listed as a symptom of COVID-19 by the World Health Organisation.

As per the information about the symptoms of the COVID-19 World Health Organization, a rash on the skin or discolouration of fingers or toes could be one of the symptoms.

The press release by the French 'National Union of Dermatologists' states that more than 400 French dermatologists noted that some of the COVID-19 patients had seen skin manifestations including hives, red rashes and frostbite-like lesions on the extremities (fingers and toes).

The Spanish 'General Council of Official Colleges of Podiatrists' reported that small redness and inflammation of the skin that are manifesting in the area of the toes have been detected in children and adult patients with COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
