Amit Shah, through his official twitter handle, announced that he tested positive for the COVID-19 on August 2, 2020.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said he had been tested for the COVID-19 after he observed initial symptoms, the report was positive. He has been admitted to the Medanta hospital in Gurugram on the doctor's advice. He requested all those who have been in proximity to him in the last few days to get themselves tested for COVID-19.
