Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has promised to increase spending on healthcare to 2.5% of GDP by 2025 from the current 1.15%.

A video uploaded by Rajya Sabha TV on YouTube confirms the promise made by Narendra Modi regarding healthcare in India.

On 12 December 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the 2018 Partners' Forum in Delhi, expressed his interest in providing healthcare benefits to the families in India. PM Modi promised to increase healthcare spendings from 1.15% to 2.5% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2025. This is consistent with the reports published by Deccan Helard and The Times of India.
