Chelsea is actively working towards securing the signing of Leicester City's left-back Ben Chilwell. They are currently in between talks.
Since June, Chelsea is working towards signing Ben Chilwell after meeting Timo Werner's £54 million (€60m/$68m) release clause at RB Leipzig. But, Leicestershire Live reported on July 20 that while Ben Chilwell continues to be linked with a big-money move to Chelsea, the Blues could be looking elsewhere as Frank Lampard bids to solve his left-back problem. With a possible asking price of around £80 million for Chilwell, Chelsea is considering Alex Telles and Nicolas Tagliafico as cheaper alternatives. Atalanta's Robin Gosens is another name in the frame following an impressive season for the Italian club.
However, no decisions have been made yet, and Chelsea has not failed to sign Ben Chilwell. They have no signed anyone yet.
