Amit Shah has been infected with the novel coronavirus.

It is a tweet posted by a parody account named Aak Thu News, which by itself confirms that the claim is false.

On doing a reverse image search, we found that a photo-manipulated image was tweeted by an account with the handle @Aak_Thu. It had posted an image which appears to be a screenshot of an Aaj Tak news coverage saying that Amit Shah had been infected with the coronavirus.

It's Twitter bio states that it is a parody account and that it is not related to the Hindi news channel Aaj Tak.

Also, there are no official reports of such a piece of news.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
