The Bharat Biotech VP did not volunteer for any human trials for Covaxin, and the viral image claiming as such is of a routine blood draw procedure.

A viral post circulated on social media platforms claiming that Bharat Biotech Vice President Dr.V.K.Srinivas had volunteered for clinical trials of the coronavirus vaccine. Bharat Biotech has clarified that the viral image was from a routine blood draw procedure conducted to test all the production staff. Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Kishna Ella spoke to NDTV and stated that human clinical trials would begin within ten days and that the trials had not begun as of July 2, 2020.
