Cristiano Ronaldo has been converting his hotels into hospitals amid the coronavirus outbreak.

A statement by the Cristiano Ronaldo's hotel spokesperson confirms that the hotels were not going to be converted into COVID-19 infirmaries.

The news went viral on social media that Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo would transform his hotels into hospitals to help those affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to RTL News, Ronaldo has two hotels in Portugal and the Lisbon branch told RTL News exclusively that the hotel was not going to be converted into a hospital and that they would remain a hotel. AFP reached out to a hotel spokesperson and confirmed that the information was inaccurate.

Thus, we conclude that Cristiano Ronaldo's hotels in Portugal were not going to be transformed into hospitals.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
