Jio is offering free recharge worth Rs 498 to its users until 31 March 2020.

The viral message claiming that Jio is offering free recharge of Rs 498 during the nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus is fake.

A message on social messaging platforms like WhatsApp talk about a Rs 498 free recharge, claiming that Jio was offering benefits of Rs 498, including unlimited voice calls and 4G data for free to its customers in India until March 31st. The website named jiofreerecharge.online which offered such a benefit is not the official website of Jio.

Also, Jio has not announced or published any news regarding a free recharge during the lockdown on its official website.
