Donald Trump tweeted that he and his wife Melania have been tested positive for COVID-19.
Trump wrote on Twitter that he and Melania were going into quarantine after testing positive for the virus with just 31 days to go until Election Day. He had been busy the past couple of weeks holding campaign rallies as he fights for reelection. The president is at high risk because of his age and weight.
His campaign manager Bill Stepien and other prominent Republicans have also tested positive for the virus. Sources have said that the president has a mild fever and the first couple was doing well. Trump was taken to a Military hospital for treatment, where he will continue to work for the next few days. It is seen as a significant setback for the president as he trails in the polls against his Democratic rival Joe Biden.
