Ban on online teaching up to Class II in Maharashtra

On June 15, the Government of Maharashtra imposed a ban on all online classes up to Class II.

On June 15, Maharashtra state government approved a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) submitted by the education department. According to the SOPs, the government placed a ban on all online classes up to Class II including kindergarten students preferring they learn through educational content on television and radio instead. This move is being criticised by educators and parents who prefer continuing online classes even if it is for a limited period.
