Indians were searching for Rihanna's religion after her tweet on farmers' protest.

Google Trends shows that searches for "Is Rihanna Muslim?" and "Rihanna religion" have peaked since the singer tweeted about the farmers' protest.

On February 4, Rihanna tweeted the question, “[W]hy aren’t we talking about this?!” This was accompanied by a CNN article about the Indian government blocking internet access around the sites where there been clashes between protestors and Delhi Police on January 26.

Since then, Google Trends shows that searches for phrases such as "Is Rihanna Muslim?" and "Rihanna religion" have peaked. India Today reported that "in the related queries around the keyword 'Rihanna', the question that topped the list was 'Is Rihanna Pakistani?'"

Apart from Rihanna, people also searched for people such as Meena Harris (the lawyer and niece of the Vice President of the United States), Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, and Lebanese-American media personality and actor Mia Khalifa — who have also tweeted in support of the farmers.
