There is strong public support for the UK government's decision to ban people from socializing in more than six groups in most circumstances.

Only Forty-five percent of Brits strongly support new lockdown rules, and thirty-two percent somewhat support the norms.

A new YouGov poll shows that nearly forty-five percent of Britons strongly support the new lockdown rules announced by the Prime Minister of United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, to contain COVID-19. Around thirty-two percent somewhat agreed to keep up the rules, and only seven percent strongly opposed it. The vast majority of the UK people are obeying the lockdown rules - not because the government has ordered them but because they do not want to catch or spread the virus. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
