A study suggests that delirium and confusion may be common among seriously ill hospital patients with Covid-19.
The research is based on studies of patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome (Sars) and Middle-East respiratory syndrome (Mers), as well early data on Covid-19 patients. Moreover, researchers revealed that those with mild symptoms are unlikely to be affected by mental health conditions. Although, more studies are needed to analyse the impact Covid-19 is having on the mental health of patients infected with the disease.
The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
