Boris Johnson's father visited Greece in apparent breach of Foreign Office guidance.

Despite the advice of the UK Foreign Office guidance to avoid all but essential international travel, Stanley Johnson visited Greece on July 2, 2020.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson's father, Stanley Johnson, traveled via Bulgaria to reach his private villa in Pelion. Greece is currently not allowing direct flights from the UK due to the COVID-19 crisis until July 15, 2020. Stanley Johnson stated that he was on essential business to COVID-proof his property for the upcoming renting season and wanted to set up distancing measures.
