Russia's Covid19 vaccine to be sold for $3.

The production of the vaccine is scheduled to begin in September 2020 and Russia has not yet announced the price of the vaccine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 11, 2020, has announced that the coronavirus vaccine developed by Moscow’s Gamaleya Institute and Russian Defence Ministry named 'Sputnik V' has been registered for use and it is said that it has high efficacy and is safe to use with no serious side effects.

Neither the Gamalaya Institute nor the Russian government has given any updates regarding the pricing of the Sputnik V. It will only be available for the public after its production process and after the completion of other formalities and only then will the actual pricing of the vaccine will be available. Thus, the reports claiming that the vaccine is priced at $3 are incorrect.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
