Two heads of government worldwide have tested positive for Covid-19.

Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, on June 17 and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, on March 27 tested positive for the coronavirus.

On June 17, reports surfaced of Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez testing positive for the coronavirus. It was further reported that he is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital for pneumonia after he tested positive. In a statement, Francis Contreras, a spokesman for Honduran health agency SINAGER also confirmed that the President's wife, Ana Garcia, also tested positive for the coronavirus, along with two presidential aides. However, they have not presented any symptoms of the disease so far.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tested positive for the virus in March and was hospitalized in April. He recovered fully after a few weeks. While a significant number of politicians and government officials worldwide have contracted coronavirus, only two heads of government are known to have tested positive.
