More than one million, three hundred thousand new jobs have been created since Biden took to office as the POTUS.

Data suggest that 1.4 million jobs have been created since Biden took office in January 2021.

President Joe Biden delivered his first joint address to Congress on April 28, 2021, outlining his vision for the country. He spoke on a series of issues ranging from immigration, economy to COVID-19 as he completed his first 100 days as U.S. president. Biden claimed that the U.S economy created more than 1.3 million new jobs after he came to power.

According to the data released by the Labor Department, total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 916,000 in March, and in February, it was revised up to 468,000, making a total of 1,384,000. Though the unemployment rate fell to 6 %, it was far below the pre-pandemic levels in February 2020. An increase in jobs indicates that the economy is growing with more disposable income in the hands of people.

As per the Economic Policy Institute, the stellar job growth rate is attributed to increased vaccination and vital provisions in the American Rescue Plan (ARP). With two million people vaccinated every day, it is expected that the labor market will reach the pre-pandemic levels soon, but full recovery will take more time.
