Amit Shah has tested negative for COVID-19.

Ministry of Home Affairs clarified that Amit Shah had not undergone any new COVID-19 test so far.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari tweeted that the Home Minister Amit Shah tested negative for the COVID-19 infection, but later he deleted the tweet.

The Ministry of Home Affair issued a statement that Amit Shah is undergoing treatment at Gurugram's Medanta Hospital, where he was admitted after testing positive for COVID-19 on August 2, 2020. Further, it said that everyone would be informed when the new COVID-19 test will be conducted and has asked people not to speculate on the home minister's health.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
