Iranian and Chinese hackers have targeted Biden and Trump's presidential campaign.

Google Threat Analysis team has found that Iranian hackers targeted Trump's campaign while Chinese hackers attacked Joe Biden's camp.

Google Threat Analysis Group (TAG) is a division of Google's security department that tracks nation-state hacking groups.

Shane Huntley, head of TAG tweeted that groups called APT31 and APT35 have targeted the campaign staffs of U.S. presidential candidates Joe Biden and Donald Trump respectively. A simple google search reveals that the group named APT31 known as Zirconium, is a Chinese state-sponsored hacking group and APT35 known as Newscaster, is an Iranian cyber-espionage sponsored by the Iranian government. It is observed that these groups have targeted the U.S.election campaigns before as well.

Meanwhile, Australia has been subject to cyber-attacks recently, and security experts have pointed out that China may be behind it. Indian cyber Police have also said that Chinese hackers attempted over 40,000 cyber-attacks on Information Technology infrastructure and banking sector in the wake of border tension.
