Bisleri mineral water is safe for drinking.

The comparative test publication by the Indian Department of Consumer Affairs states that Bisleri mineral water is not safe to drink.

The Bisleri website states that its water goes through a scientifically advanced 10-step quality process, and 114 tests to ensure that every consumer receives pure, safe and healthy water.

According to the comparative test data by the Department of Consumer Affairs India, top mineral water brands like Bisleri, Kinley and Puredrop are not safe to drink. The consumer voice report shows that Bisleri has been downgraded to being poor quality as they do not comply with the microbiological requirement. For the tests, carried out at a NABL-accredited laboratory, IS 14543: 2004 with the latest amendments was referred. Four regular/top-selling brands and one local brand (Delhi-based) of 20-litre packaged drinking water was selected for the tests. Test parameters were mainly based on Indian standards to judge the overall quality of the drinking water being sold, as also on the requirements of FSS Regulations, 2011.
