Department of Telecommunications is providing free internet to all mobile users until May 3, 2020.

Clarification issued by the Press Information Bureau and MyGovIndia confirms that DoT is not providing free internet until 3 May 2020.

A viral message claiming that the free internet service is being provided to all mobile users by the Department of Telecommunications to work from home till 3rd May 2020 amid COVID-19 lockdown. The claim was dismissed by the two government sources which posted on Twitter that the message is fake and the link provided is incorrect. They also urged people to stay away from rumours and fraudsters.
