News by CNBC and The New York Times confirmed that Trump announced that an unspecified U.S company will produce at least 20 million swabs per month.CNBC on 19 April 2020, stated that President Donald Trump in a press briefing said that he planned to use the Defense Production Act to increase the nation’s swab production by at least 20 million per month for COVID-19 tests. Further, Trump said that the administration team is finalizing a partnership with one of the manufacturers to produce an additional 10 million swabs per month. But Trump did not disclose the name of the manufacturer.

The New York Times quoted Trump's statement that the administration is calling the Defense Production Act on swab manufacture and will have many swabs for testing COVID-19. Trump did not provide any details regarding the company that he was referring to, or when the administration would invoke the act. Further, The New York Times reported that Trump's announcement came out when governors across the country claimed that there has been an insufficient amount of testing kits.

YouTube video by The White House also supports the above statement.

Thus we conclude that a U.S company is about to produce over 20 million swabs per month.
