
A clarification issued by Mumbai Police on its Twitter handle confirms that no army is being deployed in Mumbai to enforce strict lockdown.
In response, Mumbai Police denied the rumours and clarified by tweeting that no paramilitary or army was being deployed in parts of the Mumbai city to enforce lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Sangramsinh Nishandar stated that the JJ Marg police have arrested Sohail Salim Punjabi from Pathan Wadi for spreading the rumour about army deployment in the city.
