Boris Johnson refused to release the UK Parliament's Russia report before the 2019 general election.

Boris Johnson allowed releasing the Russian Interference report on UK politics six months past its intended release date, after the general elections.

Boris Johnson allowed releasing the Russian Interference report on UK politics six months past its intended release date, after the general elections.A Cross-Party Group of MPs, including a former National security adviser, took legal action against Boris Johnson over his government’s refusal to inquire into Russian interference in UK elections. This move serves the publication in July of the Russia report by parliament’s intelligence and security committee (ISC). The government has refused twice to publish the Report on Oct.17 and Nov. 5, 2019.

The Report claimed to contain embarrassing links exposed by the Russian Secret Service and the Conservative Party donors.

A petition was made and had 105,309 signatures, demanding the release of the report. On Jul. 3, 2020, the Chair of the Petitions Committee, Catherine McKinnell MP, had written to the Prime Minister to update the establishment of the Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC). Boris Johnson’s Downing Street office stated that the Report had not yet gone through the clearance process necessary for publication.

The ISC released the 'Russian interference Report in British Politics' documents on Jul. 21, 2020, which was supposed to be released six months earlier.
