The Anti-Citizenship(Amendment) Act protest at Delhi's Shaheen Bagh was called off after 101 days of protest amid COVID-19 lockdown.The first anti-Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA) protest of India, which was seen at Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia University(JMI) in December 2019, was called off on March 24, 2020, due to the rise of positive cases in the country. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced lockdown in Delhi from March 23, 2020, but all over India, it was declared on March 24, 2020. Delhi police had earlier requested anti-CAA protestors at Shaheen Bagh, especially women, to call off their agitation amid highly contagious COVID-19 spreading in the country and nationwide lockdown.
