India has reported the highest-ever single day recovery of 57,584 COVID-19 patients on August 17, 2020.The country registered the highest single-day recovery rate crossing 72% in one day. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that it was possible with an effective containment strategy and aggressive and comprehensive testing with the critically ill COVID-19 patients' standardized clinical management. As of August 20, India’s total number of COVID-19 cases is 28,36,925, with 53,866 deaths, and 20,96,664 recoveries.
