All the Democrats who supported the Medicare for All policy won in the 2020 House of Reps. elections.
The 2020 House Race Ratings listed by Cook show that 23 swing seats held by Democratic incumbents were seeking re-election as toss-up or leans Democratic. Among those 23, two incumbents Reps. Matt Cartwright of Pennsylvania and Peter DeFazio of Oregon won the election; both had co-sponsored a bill providing Medicare for All. Every other cosponsor of House Progressive Caucus cochair Pramila Jayapal’s 2019 Medicare for All legislation won reelection this year. The socialist Ryan Knight has tweeted the list of winners.
