He is not dead.Former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee was admitted to the Indian Army’s Research and Referral Hospital on August 10 for brain surgery for removing a blood clot. He had also contracted the COVID-19 infection. According to Abhijit Mukherjee, Mukherjee’s health condition improved slightly, and vital parameters continue to remain under control though he continued to remain on ventilator support. The statement from the hospital also said that the health condition of the former president is stable and being closely monitored by a team of specialists.
