The news articles published by the Press Trust of India (PTI) and Tribune India confirms that a minor Hindu girl's marriage was nullified.According to the Press Trust of India, Mehak Kumari, a student from Jacobabad district was allegedly kidnapped by Ali Raza Solang on 15 January 2020 and was converted to Isalm before marriage. The Additional Session Judge Ghulam Ali Kanasro, of Pakistani court, ordered after analysing the evidence and documents that Mehak was a minor and not fit for marriage under section 3 and 4 of the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act.
The Tribune India had stated that Judge Ghulam Ali Kanasro ordered that Mehak Kumari was not fit for marriage, under "Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act". He directed Larkana's senior police to take action against all those who were involved in the child marriage.
