The Dubai police arrested Faisal Fareed, the key accused in the Thiruvanthapuram diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case.The probe team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Kochi, confirmed that Faisal Fareed, the prime accused, has been interrogated by law enforcement agencies in the United Arab Emirates(UAE). He was one of the suspects in the Kerala gold smuggling case and the racket's associate in the UAE. The Dubai police picked up Fareed from his residence in Al Rashidiya, Dubai. He is being interrogated based on the intel shared by the Indian investigation agency. The UAE has officially communicated the news of Faisal's arrest with India.
