The central government has unveiled ₹102 lakh crores worth of infrastructure projects for the next five years.Finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on December 31, 2019, unveiled infrastructure projects meant to be implemented from 2020 to 2025, with the central and state governments contributing 39 percent each and the private sector providing the remaining 22 percent.

The projects are entitled to give the top priority to energy (24%), roads (19%), urban development (16%), and railways (13%) among the bulk of projects that were announced as part of the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP).

Out of the total expected capital expenditure of ₹102 lakh crores, projects worth ₹42.7 lakh crores (42%) are under implementation, projects worth ₹32.7 lakh crores (32%) are in conceptualization stage, and rest are under development.
