The articles of impeachment (Abuse of power and obstruction of Congress) was a success in the House of Representative, later it moved to the US Senate for a trial.

A press release by Senator Ted Cruz on his website states that the majority of the Senator has voted to reject Democrats' Articles of Impeachment and to acquit President Trump on 5 February 2020.
