A factsheet issued by Bharat Biotech has advised people with medical conditions and allergies to not take Covaxin.Vaccine manufacturer and biotechnology company Bharat Biotech issued a factsheet on January 19, 2021 advising people with allergies and medical conditions not to take the jab. The fact sheet that was posted on Bharat Biotech's official website, stated that it is advisable not to take the vaccine if a person has allergies, fever, or bleeding disorder or is on a blood thinner. It also advised those who are immuno-compromised or on medication that affects the immune system, pregnant or breastfeeding women and and those who have received another Covid-19 vaccine to not get Covaxin.
