A video circulates on social media with a message that a Turkish airline A380 aircraft with 300 passengers onboard has escaped from a collision with a fuel tanker. It is a planned terrorist attack. Many people including a Pakistani minister shared images of the truck and posted similar content on social media. The tweet was deleted after people started pointing out the misrepresentation of a game simulation.

Through our analysis, we found that the video is from an action-adventure game – Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA5). One of the Youtuber called UIGamer has uploaded a similar video from the GTA5 video game on June 20, 2019. The landing of a flight that dramatically avoid the collision with a fuel tanker was shown in the simulation video.

Therefore, we conclude that an animated video of an aircraft avoiding collision with a tanker is not a real incident.
