Specia IGP Milind Bharambe directed all police units in Maharashtra to issue inter-district travel passes to citizens who are in need.According to news reported by India Today, Bharambe issued the order after observing the high demand for online passes at the Director-General of Police's (DGP) office to citizens after verifying their reason for travel cited in people's applications. It also added that persons who wish to travel outside the state will have to contact the DGP's office in Mumbai.
Maharashtra Police on their official website issued a detailed instruction to get inter-state and inter-district passes in an emergency situation and also mentioned that people who want to make inter-district travels need to contact their respective SP/DCP.
