Aarti Lalchandani, the principal of a medical college has attracted criticism after allegedly referring to the Tablighi Jamaat members as terrorists.The principal of Kanpur's Ganesh Shankar Vidhyarthi Medical College in Uttar Pradesh was caught on the camera speaking against the Tablighi Jamaat member's misbehavior and referring them as terrorists. The members of Tablighi Jamaat had attended the congregation in the Delhi in the wake of COVID-19. She further stated that instead of keeping such patients in isolation wards they should be sent to solitary confinement.

Confronting outrage over the video, Dr. Lalchandani claimed to the media the clip was morphed and said that she did not take any community's name.
