The statement by the MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava confirms that China had hindered India’s normal patrolling patterns on Line of Actual Control.
On 21 May 2020, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson said that Indian troops had not undertaken any activity across the border and it was China that had hindered India’s normal patrolling patterns. Also, Indian troops are fully familiar with the alignment of the Line of Actual Control in the India-China border areas and abide by it scrupulously. Therefore, there is a continuation of the stand-off between both country troops at Ladakh, which is yet to be resolved despite multiple rounds of talks by local commanders and military hotlines.
