A statement by ADG of Police Navdeep Singh Virk proves that Haryana Police have booked around 1,655 people for violating the government order.According to the press release by the Directorate of Information, Public Relations & Languages of Haryana dated 4 April 2020, Additional Director General of Police, Navdeep Singh Virk said that in order to enforce the strict lockdown, Haryana Police has registered a total of 1,141 FIRs close to 1,655 people for violating the government order. He added that all the ranks of Haryana Police are actively engaged in educating and encouraging the people to stay indoors, during the lockdown period to control the spread of COVID-19.
