The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office said it had not filed sexual assault charges against Masterson in two other cases because of insufficient evidence and because of the statute of limitations. He was arrested on June 17, 2020, and was released the same day after posting a $3.3 million bail, and he is scheduled to be arraigned in September. Masterson is charged with raping a 23-year-old woman in 2001, a 28-year-old woman in early 2003, and a 23-year-old woman in late 2003. If convicted, Masterson faces a possible sentence of up to 45 years to life in state prison.
