There’s insufficient publicly available evidence to say that Muslim immigrants are involved in the riots.
On August 28, 2020, over 300 rioters were involved in the violence, that broke out in the city, smashing bus shelters, overturning lampposts, and destroying billboards after members of a far-right Danish party burnt a copy of the Quran. Earlier the leader of the far-right Danish anti-immigration party Hard Line, Rasmus Paludan, was arrested near Malmo and banned from Sweden for two years before he could make it to a planned event in the city. According to Malmö police, about 15 suspected rioters were arrested in connection with the incident. However, there is no official word from the police, whether Muslim immigrants were involved in the clashes.
