Kishan Reddy, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha on 24 July 2019, stated that the constant plan of the National Policy and Action Plan has resulted in a consistent decline in Left Wing Extremism (LWE), which is related to violence in India. He also told that the number of incidents of violence and resultant deaths has decreased by 15.8% and 16.6% in the last three years (2016-19) compared with the preceding three years (2013-15).
