Hitesha's following increased by about 62,500, but after Kamaraj's account of the event went viral, it dropped from 111,796 to 93,189 as of March 25. On March 09, Hitesha Chandranee, an Instagram influencer, accused a Zomato delivery executive of punching her over an alleged delay in service. The Electronic City Police in Bengaluru registered an FIR against the delivery executive based on Chandranee's complaint. Subsequently, the alleged perpetrator, later identified as Kamaraj, was arrested and later released on police bail. On March 15, a counter-FIR was registered where Kamaraj accused Chandranee of abusing him and hurling slippers at him while also mentioning that the injury to her nose might have been self-inflicted.

Social Blade, a well-known website that tracks social media statistics and analytics, shows that Chandranee's Instagram profile had 30,543 followers as of March 09. On March 10, she gained approximately 3,500 new followers, and by March 11, the number of followers grew to 19,144. Her follower count consistently saw an uptick since the incident, registering positive growth in thousands till March 17, wherein her public Instagram profile recorded 111,796 followers. However, since March 17, her profile has been losing followers, albeit in smaller numbers. As of March 25, 2021, Chandranee has 93.2k followers on Instagram.

Although it is clear that Chandranee's Instagram followers increased by approximately 62,500 since her allegations went viral on the internet, but it also came down after Kamraj's version came out. The case is still being investigated.
