During the show, Kumar revealed that the interview was done ahead of the election results, when Shah, the then Home Minister of Gujarat, was leaving his house to cast his vote. In the video, Shah can be seen touching his parents’ feet and seeking their blessings, and his mother can be seen putting a garland around his neck.

In the video from Ravish’s show, he revealed that he had recently become a reporter when he got the opportunity to interview Shah at his residence. He further said that ahead of 2019 election results, BJP made a roster of 48 spokespeople who would appear on various news channels and the party did not assign any spokesperson for his show. He further said that during the interview, Shah had claimed that the BJP would get 2/3rd seats, and the same happened as the results came out.

However, since the interview took place ahead of the elections and not after the results were out, therefore the claim is false.
