Televangelist Kenneth Copeland laughed after the media declared that Joe Biden won

A short video clip of a pastor mocking national media outlets for declaring Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 presidential election has gone viral.

A short video clip of a pastor mocking national media outlets for declaring Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 presidential election has gone viral. During a service at the Lord of Hosts Church in Omaha, Neb., pastor Kenneth Copeland referenced the election, declaring: "The media said what?! The media said Joe Biden is the president" before exploding in uproarious laughter. "Laughter is a deterrent to pain," Copeland explained at one point during the sermon. "Your physical brain and body cannot tell the difference between a put-on laugh and a real belly laugh." He then spent a full minute leading the audience in a demonstration of "put on" laughter. "The Associated Press said that Joe Biden is president. Ha!" he continued, laughing again. "Uh huh. Yeah, that's right. He's going to be president and Mickey Mouse is going to be King."

Another video was released later where Copeland supposedly apologies for laughing after the media declared that Joe Biden won. In the video he says, "that some people have the idea that I hate Joe Biden but I do not... and should it be necessary, i'll apologize if that came across that way."
