With the launch of the Jeevan Pramaan portal, government pensioners need not visit the Disbursing Agency for physical submission of Life Certificate. Every year in November, government pensioners had to visit the bank or post office to submit their life certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) to ensure continuity of their pension. This annual trip to the disbursing authority for physical submission of the life certificate was an inconvenient and time-consuming exercise for senior citizens. To ease the process, the government has provided a platform that enables pensioners to submit the certificate online. The certificate can be submitted digitally through the Jeevan Pramaan portal (https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in).
