Sitaram Yechury created his twitter account days after he allegedly tweeted that Xi Jinping is his boss. Thus, the viral tweet is fake. The fight between the Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan valley of the eastern Ladakh region, which led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers, has escalated tensions between India and China.

A photo of CPI(M) leader Sitharam Yechury shaking hands with Xi Jinping is being shared on social media along with a tweet where he refers to Xi as his boss. The date on the tweet is October 20, 2015.

According to the personal Twitter bio of Yechury, he joined the Twitter in October 2015, but he joined on October 29, 2015, to be exact. He created the account nine days after he allegedly referred to Xi as his boss in a tweet. Thus, we conclude that the viral tweet is fake.
