Donations for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya would be accepted from everyone who has "devotion towards and faith in Lord Ram." Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust launched the fundraising campaign on Jan. 14, 2020, to construct the Ayodhya Ram temple, covering half of the country’s population.

Recently, rumors circulated on social media that Trust was reaching out to all Hindus to seek donations. The Trust General Secretary, Champat Rai, clarified that contributions would be accepted from all communities, not only Hindus. Also, voluntary donations will be accepted, for which coupons of ₹10, ₹100, and ₹1,000 will be made available.

The Trust has not applied for FCRA approval yet, so it can’t accept donations from abroad. Further, he said that the construction would start in Jan. 2021 and be completed within 36-40 months.

The Trust on its official website has also provided the details about the donation option that anyone can voluntarily contribute to Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir construction but not only limiting it to Hindus.
