The Nagpur Division Bench of the Bombay High Court has issued a notice to the central government over a plea seeking details of the PM's relief fund.Based on a petition filed by a Nagpur-based lawyer, Arvind Waghmare the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court on 02 June 2020 issued a notice to the central government and to all the trustees of the Prime Ministers Citizens Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM-CARES) fund seeking a declaration of the amount collected and its audit.

The petition claimed that apart from the chairperson and three other trustees, the chairperson had to appoint or nominate three more trustees. Since the formation of the PM-CARES fund on 28 March 2020, no appointments have been made. The HC also directed the Union government to file an affidavit within two weeks.
