
Maharashtra government announced night curfew on Dec. 22, 2020, which will end on Jan. 05, 2021. There was no day curfew on Dec. 31 and on Jan. 01.
There was no curfew during the day on Dec. 31. However, people were advised to celebrate the end of the year and the new year's arrival by staying home. The advisory urged people not to assemble in large numbers at public spaces, including the seashore, parks, and roads, on Dec. 31 and on Jan. 01 especially.
Hence, there was an imposition of night curfew in Maharastra on Dec. 31 and on Jan. 01 from 11 pm till 6 am.
